Close
Quarter Combatives
Close Quarters Combat, or CQC, can be used to describe an up-close military
hand-to-hand fighting system, also known as combatives. It is also a term
used for fighting an enemy at close range while armed.
Close Quarters Combat teaches a person to use any part of their body
as a weapon in any environment and how to use any modern day weapon
as a tool
of self defense. Weapon systems used include improvised knives, batons,
firearms etc.
How I teach and what I teach:
There are two ways to defeat the enemy, less-than-lethal means and lethal
means. In short-sometimes we take them prisoner and sometimes we have to
kill them. A competent warrior can do both as legally, morally and ethically
needed in a proper use-of-force continuum. Every conflict is situational.
If you want to defeat the enemy soldier or the criminal, this is the system
for you.
No one system, such as karate for one, or no one discipline, such as military
science, holds the answers to ever scenario .I began to forge a course
that bridges the gap between the police, the military, the martial artists
and the aware citizenry.
Martial art systems have their own agendas that ensure dynasties,
traditions, often old, stale tactics and a foggy confusion of false hero
worship of
the leader wrapped in politics.
Some 15 years ago I came across a man who had a different outlook on the
martial arts, a complete understanding and knowledge of what really works.
That man is Hock Hocheim.
I have interfaced with many members of martial arts, militaries and police
agencies around the world. I am convinced that Hock’s CQC Group course
is the most comprehensive, complete, scientific, hand, stick, knife and
gun, close quarters course in the world, bar none I am now proud to call
Hock a friend and I am a Full Instructor in his CQC Group Course.
